We look at over 1500 chimneys each year. Across the board, we see chimney leaks coming from five main sources:
- Lack of a chimney cap
- Open mortar joints
- Flashing / roofing weaknesses
- Penetration of water through exposed brick/surface
- Condensation from high efficiency heating systems

Answers to those issues typically involve:
- Installation of a cap
- Brick and mortar repair
- Flashing / roof repair
- Waterproofing of the exposed brick or crown surface
- Installation of stainless steel flue liner
